James Cameron set to start production on Avatar sequels

Academy Award® winning James Cameron has officially announced on October 27, 2010 that his next two films will be Avatar 2 and Avatar 3. The principal actor casting will in all likelihood be a very long process that will begin in 2011, well ahead of the start of principal photography. The cast is expected to be very large with A-list stars down to completely unknown newcomers.

The 4th Spy Kids film is shooting in Austin, TX

Filming on “Spy Kids 4: Armageddon” is underway at Director Robert Rodriguez’ Troublemaker Studios in Austin, TX, and Dimension Films has announced that the 3-D family-friendly action-adventure film will be released on August 19, 2011. Casting for day player principal actors is taking place in Los Angeles and Austin, and all extras are cast in Austin.

The feature film formerly titled “I’m.Mortal” is currently in production and casting for extras is ongoing throughout filming. The project is being directed by Andrew Niccol and stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried.

Catherine Hardwicke to direct ‘Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment’

Universal Pictures has bought the rights to ‘Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment’, based on the best-selling young adult novel series by James Patterson. Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke helm the film, and auditions will begin at the completion of the film’s final draft of the screenplay.

"The Host" may be released prior to "Breaking Dawn: Part 2"

Stephenie Meyer’s "The Host" is now officially in pre-production with filming set to start in early 2011. Meyer recently stated that she casts actors for the roles in her head when she writes. Unlike "Twilight", she envisions some pretty big names to star in "The Host."

‘The Hobbit: Part 2′ hits theaters December 2013

Under recommendation from New Zealand Actors’ Equity, SAG and AFTRA hereby notified all members that they may now accept employment on "The Hobbit," under Screen Actors Guild contract terms and conditions. Casting on the two movies based on J.R.R Tolkien’s “The Hobbit”, has resumed in Los Angeles and New Zealand.

Meg Ryan and John Lithgow star in ‘Lives of The Saints’

Sly Dog Films and BCDF Pictures are set to begin shooting the feature film "Lives of The Saints" on November 13, 2010. The movie stars John Lithgow and Meg Ryan, and will be filmed in and around Los Angeles, CA. The casting director for "Lives of The Saints" is seeking a Pakistani boy between 5 and 9 years of age to play a supporting role in the film.

Casting directors are seeking a young Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler will play dual roles as twin brother and sister in his upcoming Columbia Pictures romantic comedy "Jack and Jill." The film also stars Katie Holmes as Sandler’s wife. The film’s casting directors are seeking an 11 year old boy in the Los Angeles area with brown hair and brown eyes, who can play the role of a young Adam Sandler.
