Di Bonaventura Pictures and DreamWorks SKG in association with Hasbro are set to begin production on the Paramount Pictures science fiction action film “Transformers 4“. Casting directors are auditioning actors in Los Angeles, as well as Austin, TX where filming will take place beginning late May, 2013. The extras will be cast throughout filming. Additional shooting will take place in various locations including China. This project is currently being referred to as “Untitled Transformers Sequel,” and will the first feature film to be shot using smaller digital IMAX 3D cameras.

Casting directors for the upcoming feature film “Sweet Cheeks” are holding an open casting call seeking children available to work on the film in the Austin, Texas area. They will be casting two boys with great imaginations and natural wit for the lead roles in the movie. The boys should be extroverted kids who are full of ideas, comfortable around new people and environments, and who like hearing, telling, or creating stories. Kids with interesting faces and timeless, non-modern looks similar to those in “The Little Rascals” are especially encouraged to attend the open call or submit by email. No acting experience is necessary, and these are fully paid positions. Shooting will take place in August, 2013.

21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company are now in the pre-production stage on the upcoming live-action Disney feature film “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” which is based on the children’s book by Judith Viorst. Disney casting executives are conducting a widespread talent search for a boy age 10-12 to play the lead role of Alexander Conners. Both SAG-AFTRA talent and non-union talent can submit via uploading an audition video to the official Disney casting authorized website for this film. Shooting will take place from August through October, 2013 in Los Angeles.

Roth Films/Real Heaven, Inc. in association with Wheelhouse Entertainment are in pre-production on the Sony Pictures true-story feature film “Heaven is for Real” based on the New York Times best-selling book written by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent. The book has over 7 million copies in print, and has sold over 1 million eBooks. Casting directors across the United States and Canada are conducting a massive talent search for a 6-8 year old boy to play the role of Colton Burpo. They are considering new talent with no experience or training required. Filming will take place this summer in Canada, so as not to interfere with schooling.

Sony Pictures Television in association with Gran Via Productions and Nemo Films are in pre-production on a new one-hour drama series pilot titled “Wild Blue”. The show’s casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are holding auditions for series regulars, with additional auditions to take place as soon as the regulars are cast. The stand-ins and background extras will be cast throughout shooting on the series pilot episode, which begins mid-March, 2013 in Los Angeles. There will be a very large number of people hired to play Navy personnel on the show.

From the Academy Award winning producers of three Harry Potter films comes the upcoming epic feature film “Christ The Lord,” based on the best-selling novel “Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt” by Anne Rice. The casting directors are accepting online self-taped video auditions from boys ages 7-10 to play the starring role of Jesus as a child. Filming begins on March 6, 2013 and will continue through the end of May, 2013. There will also be 2-4 weeks paid rehearsal prior to filming. The shoot will take place in Rome and Matera, Italy. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for the person chosen.

It’s a Laugh Productions has begun casting female teen series regulars for the new multi-camera Disney Channel series sequel “Girl Meets World”. The show will continue where the ABC television sitcomBoy Meets World” left off back in 2000, however the story jumps ahead to the present. That series ran successfully for seven years beginning in 1993. Auditions are taking place in Los Angeles and will continue through February, 2013 when shooting begins. The extras and stand-ins will be cast closer to the start of shooting in late January/February.

The primetime television soap opera “Dallas” is heading back into production on its second season, which has been renewed for a 15 episode run by TNT. The casting directors in Los Angeles are auditioning for two new series regulars – one is a blonde female in her early 20s and the other is a Hispanic male in his early-mid 30s. Additional guest starring and recurring roles will be cast in L.A., while smaller speaking roles will be handled by the Texas casting director. All of the extras are cast in Texas, where shooting will begin on September 24, 2012.
