Di Bonaventura Pictures and DreamWorks SKG in association with Hasbro are set to begin production on the Paramount Pictures science fiction action film “Transformers 4“. Casting directors are auditioning actors in Los Angeles, as well as Austin, TX where filming will take place beginning late May, 2013. The extras will be cast throughout filming. Additional shooting will take place in various locations including China. This project is currently being referred to as “Untitled Transformers Sequel,” and will the first feature film to be shot using smaller digital IMAX 3D cameras.

Big Kid Pictures in association with Team Downey are gearing up to begin filming on the Warner Bros. Pictures feature film “The Judge” starring Robert Downey Jr. along with an amazing all-star cast. Shooting will take place in Boston, MA and surrounding locations beginning on June 3, 2013. The local casting directors are holding two open casting calls in Massachusetts for people to work on the film as extras, and also for people who have cars and trucks to use in the movie. The open casting calls are being held in the City of Boston, and in the historic Village of Shelburne Falls.

Lucamar Productions in association with Marc Platt Productions are currently in the pre-production phase on the highly anticipated live-action musical feature film “Into The Woods” starring Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep. The movie is an adaptation of the Tony Award winning Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. Disney Casting directors in New York and Los Angeles are auditioning actors/singers for starring and co-starring roles. Additional casting will take place in London, UK where filming will take place beginning in September, 2013. The extras, photo-doubles, and stand-ins for the film’s stars will be cast in London.

Filming will take place in Seattle, WA beginning June 3, 2013. Seattle native Lynn Shelton will direct from a screenplay by Andrea Seigel. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are auditioning talent for lead and supporting roles. Apatow Productions and Gary Sanchez Productions are in production on the feature film sequel “Anchorman: The Legend Continues” for Paramount Pictures, and the casting directors are holding an open casting call in San Diego on May 11, 2013. They are seeking hundreds of people of all types, ethnicities, above 18 years of age to work as fully paid extras. Both SAG-AFTRA and non-union are being hired, and no previous experience is required.

Marvel Studios, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company is in pre-production on the live-action 3D sci-fi adventure film “Guardians of the Galaxy”. Casting is underway for the main characters in the film in addition to co-starring and supporting roles, as well as voice-over actors for ADR (Additional Dialogue Recording) sessions. Casting calls have now been issued for talent in the UK to work as supporting artists, core extras, and stand-ins for the film’s starring actors. Shooting will commence in June, 2013 at Shepperton Studios and various locations around the UK.

Roth Films/Real Heaven, Inc. in association with Wheelhouse Entertainment are in pre-production on the Sony Pictures true-story feature film “Heaven is for Real” based on the New York Times best-selling book written by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent. The book has over 7 million copies in print, and has sold over 1 million eBooks. Casting directors across the United States and Canada are conducting a massive talent search for a 6-8 year old boy to play the role of Colton Burpo. They are considering new talent with no experience or training required. Filming will take place this summer in Canada, so as not to interfere with schooling.

Marvel Studios and Arad Productions in association with Columbia Pictures are shooting the sequel to “The Amazing Spider Man” in upstate New York from April 30, 2013 through May 9, 2013. The extras casting director is seeking adult extras 18-80 years of age, as well as people who have vehicles that they would like to use in the film. These are fully paid positions and extras who appear in scenes with their vehicles receive additional compensation. Action sequences that include car chases and other special effects will be filmed in Rochester, NY during this period.

The extras casting directors in Atlanta, GA are seeking local people who have floor-length gowns and tuxedos or very nice black suits to work on April 25, 2013. Female talent must also either have a 1970s style haircut or be able to style their hair in a 70s manner. For this formal event scene, the casting directors only want people who have not previously worked on the film. Note: “Anchorman 2″ aka “Anchorman: The Legend Continues” is going by the working title “Teaching Manheim”.

Paramount Pictures subsidiary Nickelodeon Movies in association with Platinum Dunes and Mednick Productions are getting ready to begin production on the live-action feature film “Ninja Turtles,” based on the legendary comic book series by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Casting directors are holding auditions for starring, co-starring, and supporting roles. The extras casting director will be hiring featured and general background performers throughout filming, which is taking place from April 13 through July 31, 2013. Shooting will be at the largest and most sophisticated studio complex outside of Hollywood, Steiner Studios in Brooklyn. Additional principal photography will take place at various locations in New York City and surrounding areas.
