DreamWorks Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox are in pre-production on the feature film “Robopocalypse”, based on the New York Times best selling science fiction novel of the same name by Daniel H. Wilson. Principal actor casting is taking place in Los Angeles, and additional casting will take place in Montreal, Canada where shooting will take place beginning in July, 2012. All of the film’s extras, stand-ins, and photo-doubles will be hired in Canada.

The first film in The Mortal Instruments series, “City of Bones” is now in pre-production for an August, 2012 start date in New York and Toronto. The casting director has begun auditions for the film’s starring roles, and aside from the lead roles of Clary Fray and Jace Wayland, all major parts are up for grabs. Lily Collins has signed on to the starring role, and despite rumors – Jamie Campbell Bower will play the role of Jace. All major roles are being cast out of Los Angeles, New york, and Toronto – extras will be cast in New York and Toronto.

The star-studded feature film “A.C.O.D.” (Adult Children of Divorce) is starting production in Atlanta, and the casting director is seeking a beautiful, tall, blond female 20 – 30 years old for a “very featured role”. Additional featured roles as well as many extras will be hired throughout filming this spring. All of the remaining speaking roles and extras are being cast by the local casting director in Atlanta.

Blueprint Pictures has partnered with CBS Film to produce the comedy feature film “Seven Psychopaths”. Shooting is set to begin November, 2011 in Los Angeles and the casting directors are auditioning actors for supporting and day player roles. The extras, stand-ins and photo-doubles for the film’s stars will be hired in Los Angeles closer to the start of shooting.

The feature film “Freaky Deaky”, starring Sienna Miller, Matt Dillon, Brendon Fraser, William H. Macy, and Craig Robinson, is auditioning actors in Los Angeles for co-starring and supporting roles. The film’s extras, stand-ins, and photo doubles for the film’s stars are being cast in the Detroit, Michigan area.

Principal photography on “The Hunger Games” began on May 19, 2011. According the the Screen Actors Guild, shooting will continue through September 3, 2011. Locations include the North Carolina communities of Hildebran, Charlotte, Asheville, and Wilmington among others. Casting for the films extras, stand-ins and photo doubles will continue throughout filming. Some small speaking roles will also be cast as minor script changes occur during the shoot.
