Lucamar Productions in association with Marc Platt Productions are currently in the pre-production phase on the highly anticipated live-action musical feature film “Into The Woods” starring Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep. The movie is an adaptation of the Tony Award winning Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. Disney Casting directors in New York and Los Angeles are auditioning actors/singers for starring and co-starring roles. Additional casting will take place in London, UK where filming will take place beginning in September, 2013. The extras, photo-doubles, and stand-ins for the film’s stars will be cast in London.

21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company are now in the pre-production stage on the upcoming live-action Disney feature film “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” which is based on the children’s book by Judith Viorst. Disney casting executives are conducting a widespread talent search for a boy age 10-12 to play the lead role of Alexander Conners. Both SAG-AFTRA talent and non-union talent can submit via uploading an audition video to the official Disney casting authorized website for this film. Shooting will take place from August through October, 2013 in Los Angeles.

The award winning casting team that brought you talent on “Scrubs” and “Cougar Town” are conducting a talent search to find a college aged male to co-star with Colin Ferguson in a new single-camera FOX comedy series titled “Like Father”. Anyone who fits the character description can email a link to a YouTube audition video. In addition to this talent search, the extras casting company will be hiring numerous college age extras to appear on the show.

Universal Pictures is currently conducting an international talent search for a lead role in a major feature film with a $100 million dollar budget starring Tom Cruise. Actors who wish to be considered can send in a hardcopy photo and resume to the casting directors, or submit a video audition on the film’s official casting website. Shooting will take place in mostly in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Additional filming will take place in Los Angeles, New York, and the country of Iceland. Principal photography will begin on March 19, 2012 and continue through August 12, 2012.

The sequel to the mega-hit ensemble action film “The Expendables” is nearing the start of filming in October, 2012. The casting director is currently casting supporting roles and smaller speaking roles, and the extras casting company is registering extras to work on the film. The original film had a budget of $80 million and made over $274 million dollars at the box office.
