21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company are now in the pre-production stage on the upcoming live-action Disney feature film “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” which is based on the children’s book by Judith Viorst. Disney casting executives are conducting a widespread talent search for a boy age 10-12 to play the lead role of Alexander Conners. Both SAG-AFTRA talent and non-union talent can submit via uploading an audition video to the official Disney casting authorized website for this film. Shooting will take place from August through October, 2013 in Los Angeles.

Filming will take place in Seattle, WA beginning June 3, 2013. Seattle native Lynn Shelton will direct from a screenplay by Andrea Seigel. Roth Films/Real Heaven, Inc. in association with Wheelhouse Entertainment are in pre-production on the Sony Pictures true-story feature film “Heaven is for Real” based on the New York Times best-selling book written by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent. The book has over 7 million copies in print, and has sold over 1 million eBooks. Casting directors across the United States and Canada are conducting a massive talent search for a 6-8 year old boy to play the role of Colton Burpo. They are considering new talent with no experience or training required. Filming will take place this summer in Canada, so as not to interfere with schooling.

Kapital Entertainment is prepping to begin production on a new 1/2 hour comedy series pilot for ABC titled “Pulling“. Shooting on the single-camera show will get underway mid-March at the ABC Studios in Los Angeles. Casting directors in both Los Angeles and New York are auditioning actors for series regulars, guest starring, possible recurring, and under-5 roles. The extras casting director will hire background performers throughout production. “Pulling” is based on the hugely popular British sitcom of the same name.

Shooting will take place in Charlotte, NC starting on March 11, 2013. Casting directors in Los Angeles, New York, and Charlotte are holding auditions for starring, guest starring, possible recurring, and day player roles. The show’s background performers are being cast by the Charlotte extras casting director. Television crew members and production staff are also being hired locally in North Carolina.

The movie centers on eleven-year-old Norman Ollestad, who survived a plane crash which left him stranded on an icy mountaintop by using the skills his father instilled in him. The film’s Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director is conducting a national talent search for a 9-11 year old boy to play the lead role. The movie is based on Ollestad’s novel “Crazy for the Storm: A Memoir of Survival“. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles starting April, 2013.

The stand-ins and background extras will be cast throughout shooting on the series pilot episode, which begins mid-March, 2013 in Los Angeles. The novel has been on The New York Times bestseller list for over 108 straight weeks. This film has been in development with Universal for nearly 55 years, and Hillenbrand’s remarkable book brought the film project into reality. Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, in association with Disruption Entertainment are in pre-production on the huge big-budget epic feature film “Godzilla”, and shooting is scheduled to begin on March 14, 2013 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The film’s casting directors in Los Angeles and Canada are holding auditions for several starring roles. These roles are for boys ages 3 – 11 years of age. The youngest is a Caucasian boy to play a 4 year old, the middle one is a Japanese boy to play 6 years of age, and the oldest is another Caucasian boy to play 10 years old. The actors do not have to be these exact ages, but can be a year older or younger. The extras will be cast in Vancouver close to the start of filming, which will run through June 22, 2013.

All stand-ins for the series principal actors and all background performers will be cast in Wilmington. “Under The Dome” is scheduled to premier on Monday June 24, 2013 at 10pm on CBS.
