The powerhouse film production company GK Films is in pre-production on the major musical feature film “Jersey Boys” based on the hit Broadway musical “Jersey Boys: The Story of Frankie Vallie & The Four Seasons”. The Casting directors for the film are auditioning talent for lead and supporting roles. Filming begins in August, 2013 and will take place in Los Angeles. The stand-ins for the film’s stars will be hired closer to shooting, and the extras will be cast throughout production.

Walt Disney Studios stage performance division Disney Theatrical Productions is auditioning singers to become the new cast members of the upcoming 2014 productions of “Aladdin” on Broadway.  Tara Rubin, casting director of many long-running Broadway shows, is seeking Equity or non-Equity singers who move well. Talent of all ethnicities are strongly encouraged to submit, and there are no fees to be considered. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, and it pays very well. “Aladdin” on Broadway will be a full-length, big song musical with big dance numbers.”

Casting Society of America Artios Award winning casting director Bernard Telsey of Telsey & Company is holding an open audition in Los Angeles for the 35th Anniversary Broadway revival of the musical “Annie”. Online video submissions are also being accepted. The production is casting girls between the ages of 6 and 12 years to play the roles of Annie and the orphans Molly, Pepper, Duffy, July, Tessie, and Kate. No prior acting experience is necessary, and both union and non-union girls can audition. There are NO fees to attend the open casting call. The production will open in Fall 2012 at one of the Nederlander Organization‘s nine Broadway theatres to be announced.
