Marvel Studios and Arad Productions in association with Columbia Pictures are shooting the sequel to “The Amazing Spider Man” in upstate New York from April 30, 2013 through May 9, 2013. The extras casting director is seeking adult extras 18-80 years of age, as well as people who have vehicles that they would like to use in the film. These are fully paid positions and extras who appear in scenes with their vehicles receive additional compensation. Action sequences that include car chases and other special effects will be filmed in Rochester, NY during this period.

Kurtzman/Orci Productions and 20th Century Fox Television are prepping to begin filming the new modern–day supernatural thriller “Sleepy Hollow” based on Washington Irving‘s short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Shooting will take place in Charlotte, NC starting on March 11, 2013. Casting directors in Los Angeles, New York, and Charlotte are holding auditions for starring, guest starring, possible recurring, and day player roles. The show’s background performers are being cast by the Charlotte extras casting director. Television crew members and production staff are also being hired locally in North Carolina.

Trivision Pictures in association with Entertainment 7 and Empire Film Group are in pre-production on the comedy feature film “Army Bratz”. The casting director in Los Angeles is auditioning talent for the movie’s starring and co-starring roles. Additional casting for supporting roles will take place in Los Angeles, and in Louisiana where shooting is scheduled to begin in April, 2013. The stand-in and extras will all be cast in Louisiana closer to the start of filming.

Mandate Pictures and Four Fellas Productions in association with Laurence Mark Productions and Good Universe are in production on the comedy feature film “Last Vegas”, shooting in Atlanta, GA. The local casting directors are seeking a large number of extras to work on the film in December. In addition to the extras being cast, there are also roles for featured players at a higher pay rate. Principal actor casting took place in Los Angeles, with additional speaking roles being cast in Atlanta. Filming will continue through December 22, 2012. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 20, 2013.

Prodco is in pre-production on a new comedy series pilot for ABC Family called “Phys Ed“, and auditions are taking place for series regulars, guest stars, and day players. Extras will be cast throughout production which begins in November, 2012. Roles for teachers, parents, and students are being cast in Los Angeles, with some additional casting done in New York. Especially needed are people 18 and older who can play high school age to work as extras on the show. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles.

The Millennium Films action thriller feature film “Homefront” is in production in Louisiana, and casting for day player speaking roles and extras will be ongoing through November 21, 2012. The movie, written and produced by Sylvester Stallone, is based on author Chuck Logan‘s crime drama series of novels featuring the character Phil Broker. The Warner Bros. Pictures supernatural drama feature film “Winter’s Tale” is set to begin filming on October 29, 2012 in New York. Principal actor casting is taking place in New York, as well as all extra casting. The film is based on the bestselling 1983 novel of the same name by Mark Helprin. It is a fantasy story set in 19th Century and present-day Manhattan that revolves around a thief, a dying girl, and a flying white horse. The film originally had a $75 million budget, however the studio dropped the budget to $46 million. Shooting runs from October 29, 2012 through January 30, 2013.
