New Line Cinema and S&K Pictures in association with Big Kid Pictures are in pre-production on a new sequel in the “National Lampoon’s Vacation” franchise. This new film will begin shooting June 17, 2013 in New Mexico and Atlanta, GA. The Primetime Emmy award winning casting director is conducting a national talent search for young talent for several lead roles in the film. Being cast are two boys between 9-15 years of age to play the Griswold boys, Ed Helms‘ kids. Also being cast is a pretty teen girl between the ages of 13-17. Self-taped video auditions will be accepted for talent outside of Los Angeles. The extras will be cast throughout filming in Atlanta and New Mexico.
Disney Studios ‘Lone Ranger’ casting Mexicans and Native Americans in Los Angeles

The Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures action Western film “Lone Ranger” is now filming in the Los Angeles area, after completing principal photography in New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. The extras casting director is seeking Mexican and Native American Women, Children, and elderly Men to work on the film as fully paid featured background performers. The scenes to be filmed will recreate an 1800′s Comanche village. The exact shooting dates have not been determined yet, but are highly likely to be in mid-late September, 2012.
Open casting call for Universal Pictures film ‘Lone Survivor’ starring Mark Wahlberg

Film 44 in association with Weed Road Pictures and Spikings Entertainment are in production on the major feature film “Lone Survivor” based on true events of Operation Red Wings, a joint military operation that took place in the Pech District of Afghanistan’s Kunar Province in Late June through Mid-July 2005. There will be an open casting call in New Mexico for men, women, and children who are interested in working as fully paid extras on the film. Shooting starts on September 18, 2012 in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico areas and will continue through mid-November. Over 1,400 extras in New Mexico will be used in the film, in addition to several dozen local actors.

Stephenie Meyer’s ‘The Host’ set to film in New Mexico and Louisiana

The long awaited film adaptation of Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer‘s “The Host” is now holding auditions in Los Angeles for starring and supporting roles. Auditions are also taking place in Louisiana for smaller roles, and extras casting will take place there as well. Additional auditions and extras casting will take place in New Mexico when filming moves there after Louisiana shooting is complete.

Warner Horizon Television and Turner Network Television are filming a new pilot episode of a western drama series in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The lead starring roles have been cast in Los Angeles, however the New Mexico casting director is hiring smaller speaking roles, extras, stand-ins and photo doubles. They are seeking people who can portray 1880′s western townsfolk.
