It’s a Laugh Productions is producing the upcoming hour-long Wizards of Waverly Place special for Disney Channel tentatively titled “The Wizards Special”. Casting for guest stars is underway, and the show’s extras will be cast throughout production beginning October 22, 2012. Shooting will take place in Santa Clarita, CA. Disney Channel stated that after the huge ratings of the “Wizards” finale on January 6, 2012, it became obvious that fans of the show were not ready to say farewell to Selena or the rest of the cast. Therefore the cast has agreed to reunite to bring their fans one last grand adventure!

Auditions for the brand new Disney Channel half-hour comedy sitcom pilot “Fantasma” are now underway for the series regulars. Casting is taking place in Los Angeles, where the show will be videotaped. Both union and non-union extras will be hired when shooting begins in July, 2012. The storyline follows a family that moves into an old house, and they soon discover that there is a perky teenage girl already living there – and she just so happens to be a ghost!

Kids and tweens now have the opportunity to shake it up and break it down with the return of Disney Channel’s popular dance competition “Make Your Mark: Shake It Up Dance Off.” Last year, more than 12 million viewers watched the two-night finale event, skyrocketing it to #1 among Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 for both nights. This year, kids once again have the opportunity to compete for the Grand Prize – a performance in an episode of Disney Channel’s top-rated series “Shake It Up.”

It’s that time of year again for Disney Channel and Disney XD to hold the first official open casting call of 2012, this one in Kansas City, Missouri. Casting directors are seeking boys and girls between the ages of 10 – 18 (or who look like they are 10 – 18) and are interested in acting, dancing, or singing. It’s a Laugh Productions is currently in pre-production on a new series for Disney XD called “Crash & Bernstein”. The network has picked up the series from a pilot episode, and the lead role of a 13 year old boy is being re-cast. The casting director will also be casting guest stars, and day players. The extras, photo-doubles, and stand-ins will be hired throughout production this Summer, 2012. Many kids and teens will be cast. The multi-camera series will launch on Disney XD in Fall, 2012. “Crash & Bernstein” is a live-action comedy with puppetry.

The upcoming independent dark teen comedy feature film “Spring Breakers” is currently auditioning actors in Los Angeles for lead roles and supporting roles. Smaller roles and extras will be cast in Florida where shooting will take place beginning in February, 2012. The movie is about four female college students who attempt to pay for their spring break trip by robbing a restaurant, and end up getting busted. Academy Award nominated actor James Franco plays a rapping drug dealer who bails the girls out and persuades them to help him kill his rival dealer.

The Zoo Productions Disney Channel hit hidden camera reality series “PrankStars” is in production and the show’s casting department is seeking boys and girls between the ages of 8-16, who are huge fans of a Disney Channel star. If selected to appear on the show, the unsuspecting tweens and teens come face to face with their favorite celebrities in unpredictable and humorous situations. Extras are also being cast to be a part of the pranks.
