Walt Disney Studios stage performance division Disney Theatrical Productions is auditioning singers to become the new cast members of the upcoming 2014 productions of “Aladdin” on Broadway.  Tara Rubin, casting director of many long-running Broadway shows, is seeking Equity or non-Equity singers who move well. Talent of all ethnicities are strongly encouraged to submit, and there are no fees to be considered. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, and it pays very well. “Aladdin” on Broadway will be a full-length, big song musical with big dance numbers.”

Walt Disney Pictures and Wheatfield Productions are in pre-production on an exciting new live action sci-fi feature film called “Tomorrowland”. The Disney casting directors are casting starring roles including a boy and girl who can play 10-11 years of age, and a naturally beautiful teen girl who can play 16-17 years of age. Shooting on the project will take place in Vancouver, British Columbia starting this Summer, 2013. Auditions are taking place in Los Angeles, New York, and Vancouver. All photo-doubles and stand-ins for the film’s stars will be hired in Vancouver, as well as all of the extras.

It’s a Laugh Productions and Michael Jacobs Productions are getting ready to begin shooting the new multi-camera Disney Channel series sequel “Girl Meets World”. The show will continue where the ABC television sitcom “Boy Meets World” left off back in 2000, however the story jumps ahead to the present. That series ran successfully for seven years beginning in 1993. The Casting Society of America ARTIOS Award winning Disney casting director for the show is auditioning talent for several remaining starring roles, and will also be casting guest starring and day player roles. The extras will be cast throughout production, which officially begins shooting on March 5, 2013.

Blondie Girl Productions in association with Salty Pictures and Hollywood Farms will begin shooting in January, 2013 on a new Disney Channel Original Movie titled “Cloud Nine”. The project is a snowboarding themed telefilm. The local Utah Disney casting directors have scheduled an open casting call for featured and general background performers in Salt Lake City. Snowboarding experience is helpful but not required. All types are needed, and there is no previous experience required to be cast. Filming will continue throughout February, 2013.

It’s A Laugh Productions and Poor Soul Productions are casting new recurring roles for the third season of the hit Disney XD live-action multi-camera comedy “Kickin’ It“. Taping on the show will resume in January, 2013 in Los Angeles. In addition to the recurring roles, the Disney casting directors will be casting guest starring and day player roles throughout the season which will continue taping through Spring, 2013. The extras will also be cast on an ongoing basis throughout the season. “Kickin’ It” was given a third season order by Disney on on November 5, 2012.

On October 2, 2012 “A.N.T. Farm” was officially renewed for a third season by Disney Channel. Walt Disney Television in association with It’s A Laugh Productions are in production and shooting is underway at Hollywood Center Studios in Los Angeles, CA. The show’s award winning Disney casting directors are auditioning actors for strong recurring and guest starring roles, as well as smaller speaking roles known as day-players. The extras casting company is hiring background talent throughout the season, which is scheduled to premiere in June, 2013 on Disney Channel.

Arad Productions in association with Big Talk Productions are in the pre-production stages of the highly anticipated Marvel Studios action adventure sci-fi thriller feature film “Ant-Man”. Walt Disney Studios, the parent company of Marvel Enterprises, announced that the film has been greenlit. Filming is scheduled to start this January, 2012 for a November 6, 2015 release date. People’s Choice Award winning Canadian actor Nathan Fillion has been mentioned for the lead role of Hank Pym, also known as Ant Man. However, Fillion stated at the 2012 Hero Complex Film Fest, “did you ever just love Ant-Man? Not me”. Therefore is seems highly unlikely that the studio would pursue Pym after making a comment like that. The project will shoot at Pinewood Studios in England, and other locations around London and the United Kingdom.

The Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures action Western film “Lone Ranger” is now filming in the Los Angeles area, after completing principal photography in New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. The extras casting director is seeking Mexican and Native American Women, Children, and elderly Men to work on the film as fully paid featured background performers. The scenes to be filmed will recreate an 1800′s Comanche village. The exact shooting dates have not been determined yet, but are highly likely to be in mid-late September, 2012.
