It’s a Laugh Productions and Horizon Productions are getting ready to begin production on a new comedy sitcom for Disney XD called “Kirby Buckets”. The Casting Society of America Artios Award nominated casting team of Sally Stiner and Barbie Block, who have cast such Disney Channel hit shows as “Jonas” and “Good Luck Charlie”, are casting young teen actors and adults for series regulars, co-stars, and smaller day player roles. The extras will be hired throughout shooting on the pilot episode, with there likely being a need for many over-18 to play high school age.
The hit NBC science fiction television drama series “Revolution” has been renewed for a full 22-episode second season, and the show has moved shooting locations from Wilmington, North Carolina to Austin, Texas. The series casting directors are auditioning actors for new recurring, guest starring, and day player roles. In addition, the local Austin casting director is seeking talent to work as series regular extras for the entire second season. Shooting will take place from July 5, 2013 through April 30, 2013.
The casting director for the upcoming feature film “Sweet Cheeks” is holding open casting calls and accepting email submissions for a boy to star in the film. The role is for an African American male, age 6-8, with a great imagination and natural wit for the lead role. He should be an extroverted kid who is full of ideas, comfortable around new people and environments, likes hearing, telling, or creating stories. Di Bonaventura Pictures and DreamWorks SKG in association with Hasbro are set to begin production on the Paramount Pictures science fiction action film “Transformers 4“. Casting directors are auditioning actors in Los Angeles, as well as Austin, TX where filming will take place beginning late May, 2013. The extras will be cast throughout filming. Additional shooting will take place in various locations including China. This project is currently being referred to as “Untitled Transformers Sequel,” and will the first feature film to be shot using smaller digital IMAX 3D cameras.

21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company are now in the pre-production stage on the upcoming live-action Disney feature film “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” which is based on the children’s book by Judith Viorst. Disney casting executives are conducting a widespread talent search for a boy age 10-12 to play the lead role of Alexander Conners. Both SAG-AFTRA talent and non-union talent can submit via uploading an audition video to the official Disney casting authorized website for this film. Shooting will take place from August through October, 2013 in Los Angeles.
Roth Films/Real Heaven, Inc. in association with Wheelhouse Entertainment are in pre-production on the Sony Pictures true-story feature film “Heaven is for Real” based on the New York Times best-selling book written by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent. The book has over 7 million copies in print, and has sold over 1 million eBooks. Casting directors across the United States and Canada are conducting a massive talent search for a 6-8 year old boy to play the role of Colton Burpo. They are considering new talent with no experience or training required. Filming will take place this summer in Canada, so as not to interfere with schooling.
