Imagine Entertainment and Teakwood Lane Productions are currently in pre-production on the new 20th Century Fox TV series “24: Live Another Day”, which is a 12-episode run based on the mega-hit Fox network and worldwide syndicated political spy action thriller series “24” which spanned 192 episodes over eight seasons, and pulled in countless awards including 68 Emmy nominations, with 20 wins. The casting directors for “24: Live Another Day” are auditioning actors for lead roles, supporting roles, and recurring roles in Los Angeles. The show will be set in London, UK and will be filmed there for this limited first-run season. The extras will be cast in London.
Appian Way and Pearl Street Films are now in pre-production on the Warner Bros. Pictures crime-drama feature film “Live By Night”, which is based on the novel by Dennis Lehane. Casting calls have gone out for the first roles to be cast. Ben Affleck will play the lead role in the film as well as produce and direct. Leonardo DiCaprio will also produce. Big Kid Pictures in association with Team Downey are gearing up to begin filming on the Warner Bros. Pictures feature film “The Judge” starring Robert Downey Jr. along with an amazing all-star cast. Shooting will take place in Boston, MA and surrounding locations beginning on June 3, 2013. The local casting directors are holding two open casting calls in Massachusetts for people to work on the film as extras, and also for people who have cars and trucks to use in the movie. The open casting calls are being held in the City of Boston, and in the historic Village of Shelburne Falls.
21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company are now in the pre-production stage on the upcoming live-action Disney feature film “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” which is based on the children’s book by Judith Viorst. Disney casting executives are conducting a widespread talent search for a boy age 10-12 to play the lead role of Alexander Conners. Both SAG-AFTRA talent and non-union talent can submit via uploading an audition video to the official Disney casting authorized website for this film. Shooting will take place from August through October, 2013 in Los Angeles.

Roth Films/Real Heaven, Inc. in association with Wheelhouse Entertainment are in pre-production on the Sony Pictures true-story feature film “Heaven is for Real” based on the New York Times best-selling book written by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent. The book has over 7 million copies in print, and has sold over 1 million eBooks. Casting directors across the United States and Canada are conducting a massive talent search for a 6-8 year old boy to play the role of Colton Burpo. They are considering new talent with no experience or training required. Filming will take place this summer in Canada, so as not to interfere with schooling.
Atlas Entertainment and Annapurna Pictures are set to begin shooting a major feature film in Boston, MA and New York City for Columbia Pictures. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are casting the film’s supporting roles. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles and Boston beginning in April, 2013. Two-time Primetime Emmy Award winner and four-time Casting Society of America Artios Award winner John Papsidera is casting the film’s starring and co-starring roles in Los Angeles. Additional principal actor casting will be taking place in Boston. The background performers and stand-ins will be cast locally in Boston. Experienced film crew members and production staff are also being hired locally in Massachusetts.

Sony Pictures Television in association with Gran Via Productions and Nemo Films are in pre-production on a new one-hour drama series pilot titled “Wild Blue”. The show’s casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are holding auditions for series regulars, with additional auditions to take place as soon as the regulars are cast. The stand-ins and background extras will be cast throughout shooting on the series pilot episode, which begins mid-March, 2013 in Los Angeles. There will be a very large number of people hired to play Navy personnel on the show.
