Mike Mitchell will direct the live-action scenes for “SpongeBob SquarePants 2”.
The little yellow fella that nearly everyone in America and beyond seems to love is back! Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Animation are in pre-production on the live-action/animated feature film “SpongeBob SquarePants 2”. The casting director has sent out casting calls for principal actor roles in Los Angeles, New York, as well as in Savannah, Georgia where shooting on the live-action scenes will take place from September 30, 2013 through November 5, 2013. Locations include sound stages in Savannah, locations in the downtown area, and on Tybee Island. Many extras will also be cast for a beach scene in Savannah.
Hyde Park Entertainment and Troika Pictures in association with Merced Media Partners are in pre-production on the thriller feature film “Careful What You Wish For”, which will begin shooting April 8, 2013 in North Carolina. Filming will also take place in Atlanta. Casting directors in Los Angeles are holding auditions for the films starring, co-starring, and supporting roles. There will be additional speaking roles cast in North Carolina and Atlanta, as well as the film’s stand-ins, photo-doubles, and extras.
Uptown Productions in association with Schneider’s Bakery, Inc. are now in production on the new comedy series “Sam and Cat” for Nickelodeon Network. The casting director will be auditioning actors throughout the season for recurring roles, co-starring roles, and under five roles. The extras casting director will also be hiring background extras throughout the season. The pilot episode was shot in September, 2012 and Nickelodeon announced a series pickup with an order for 20 episodes on November 29, 2012. The show will premier September 10, 2013 on Nickelodeon.
Empire City Productions is set to begin production on the second season of the action-comedy series “Supah Ninjas” for Nickelodeon. The lead, guest starring, and recurring roles are being cast in Los Angeles, while smaller roles and extras are cast in Pittsburgh where filming will take place. An open casting call is scheduled for people ages 18-40 who are experienced martial artists, dancers, and gymnasts to work as stunt people and featured extras. In addition, the casting director is seeking young actors ages 14-19 with theatre experience for speaking roles on the show. Also being cast are teen girls with cheerleading experience. “Supah Ninjas” is also looking for a few interns for the summer to work in the Camera/Production/Art/Costume departments.
