20th Century Fox has given a 13-episode season one order for the new single-camera comedy series “Enlisted”, and the show’s Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director is auditioning actors for guest starring, recurring, and day-player roles. In addition to the ongoing principal actor casting, Central Casting is hiring extras throughout the season in Los Angeles, where shooting will take place from August 15, 2013 through December 1, 2013. All types are being cast, with an emphasis on military types, both male and female.
The Gotham Group is now in pre-production on the first film in a major science fiction feature film trilogy “The Maze Runner” for Twentieth Century Fox. The movie is based on the first book in a young-adult dystopian science fiction trilogy of the same name by James Dashner. The film’s Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director is holding auditions for the starring roles, which consists of a group of teen boys and a teen female. All types and ethnicities are being encouraged to submit. Rehearsals begin in mid-April, and shooting starts on May 1, 2013 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. All of the stand-ins and extras will be hired in the Baton Rouge area close to the start of filming.
“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” Twentieth Century Fox‘s sequel to its blockbuster 2011 hit feature film “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” is in pre-production and gearing up for a March, 2013 filming start date in New Orleans, Louisiana. With a $93 million budget and over $483 million at the box office, this second film in the reboot series of films is being highly anticipated. Principal actor casting for the film’s lead roles co-starring roles will be cast in Los Angeles, with additional casting in New Orleans. All extras, photo doubles, and stand-ins will be cast throughout filming in New Orleans.
Page Four Productions is in pre-production on the independent feature film “The Return of Captain Nemo” and casting for the films starring and co-starring roles will be taking place in London. Additional principal actor casting and all extras casting will take place in Bucharest, Romania where filming will take place beginning January 16, 2012. This film is not to be confused with the big budget Walt Disney Pictures or 20th Century Fox adaptation of the book by Jules Verne.
The Twentieth Century Fox comedy feature film “The Internship” is currently in production and the extras casting director in Atlanta, GA is seeking men and women, 18 years of age and older, all types, any ethnicity to work as background extras on the film. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson star as two middle aged men who lose their salesmen jobs and find themselves trying to learn new-world skills by working as interns at Google amongst their much younger counterparts. Filming will take place through the end of September, 2012.
The feature film “Steel Town” is currently in production in Pittsburgh, PA and the casting directors are holding an open casting call for local people interested in working as extras on the film. “Steel Town” has been shooting scenes recently in downtown Pittsburgh and at the closed Miller Elementary School in the lower Hill District.
Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation and Marvel Enterprises are moving forward with initial casting calls for the Hugh Jackman feature film “The Wolverine” being issued this past week on Friday March 11, 2011. These are for the film’s lead and supporting roles.
Now that a U.S. Bankruptcy Court has approved MGM‘s financial-reorganization plan, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation has taken over production on the Farrelly Brothers feature film “The Three Stooges”. Auditions for the film will begin in January, 2011 and shooting is scheduled for a March 14, 2011 start date in Atlanta, GA.
