Alloy Entertainment and Bonanza Productions have begun production on the fifth season of the hit CW supernatural drama series “The Vampire Diaries”, which has been given a full 22 episode order. Kapital Entertainment is prepping to begin production on a new 1/2 hour comedy series pilot for ABC titled “Pulling“. Shooting on the single-camera show will get underway mid-March at the ABC Studios in Los Angeles. Casting directors in both Los Angeles and New York are auditioning actors for series regulars, guest starring, possible recurring, and under-5 roles. The extras casting director will hire background performers throughout production. “Pulling” is based on the hugely popular British sitcom of the same name.

The film wouldn’t have been able to shoot in the state without help from the California Film Commission, which invested in the roughly $10 million budget.
