Universal Television and Hazy Mills Productions are getting ready to begin production on the third season of the hit NBC supernatural drama television series “Grimm”. The extras casting director has scheduled an open casting call for people who would like to work on the show as fully paid extras and featured background actors. There is no experience required, and all types are needed, ages 18 and over. The series is a single-camera setup that shoots in the Portland, Oregon and surrounding area.

Universal Television and TBD Productions are in pre-production on a new 1/2 hour multi-camera hybrid 1/2 hour comedy series pilot titled “Holding Patterns”. Casting directors in both Los Angeles and New York are conducting auditions for the series regulars. Possible recurring, guest starring and day player roles will be cast after the main roles are filled. The show will shoot in Los Angeles beginning in April, 2013. The extras casting director will be hiring general background performers throughout production.

The show is called “Revolution”, and is about a group of survivors who have banded together in a land where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. The new drama series “Chicago Fire” has been picked up for season one by NBC, which made the announcement in May, 2012. The show follows the lives of the firefighters and paramedics working at the Chicago Fire Department – firehouse of Engine 55, Truck 81, Squad 3, Medic 61, and Battalion 25. The show’s starring, co-starring, and guest starring roles are being cast out of New York, with additional principal actor casting in Chicago where shooting will take place. All of the stand-ins and extras will be hired in the Chicago area. The show begins production in July, 2012.

The local casting director is holding an open casting call for Portland area talent 18 and older, males and females, who can pass for late teens in an upcoming episode. Actors who are not chosen for this particular episode may be kept on file for future episodes, as the casting directors is expanding her roster of the over-18 to play younger category.
