Warner Bros. Television in association with Bonanza Productions and Alloy Entertainment are in pre-production on a new series titled “The Originals”, which will be a spinoff from the hit CW series “The Vampire Diaries”. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are holding auditions for the series regulars, which include an over 18 actress who can play a 16 year old witch, an early 20’s female student who is intrigued by the deviance of the French Quarter, a late 20s early 30s female witch, and Klaus’ diabolical former protégé Marcel who is late 20s early 30s. Shooting begins March 6, 2013 and will take place in New Orleans and Atlanta.

Universal Cable Productions in association with Hypnotic are now in pre-production on an exciting new drama series pilot for USA Network, currently using the working title of “Untitled Falacci/Heuton Pilot”. Casting notices have gone out in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Miami for principal actor speaking roles. In addition, the local extras casting director in Miami is holding an open casting call for featured and general background performers of all ages. Although the open casting call is for people 18 years of age and older, minors can submit via email for consideration. Shooting will take place entirely in Miami, FL beginning January 14, 2013.
CW Television Network‘s mega hit supernatural drama television series “The Vampire Diaries” is now in production on season number 4 in Atlanta, GA. The casting directors are auditioning actors for guest starring, recurring and day player roles in both Los Angeles and Atlanta. In addition to the acting roles, extras are being hired in Atlanta throughout the season. The network has ordered a full 22 episodes that will begin airing in October, 2012. “The Vampire Diaries” is based on the book series of the same name written by L. J. Smith.
The new drama series “Chicago Fire” has been picked up for season one by NBC, which made the announcement in May, 2012. The show follows the lives of the firefighters and paramedics working at the Chicago Fire Department – firehouse of Engine 55, Truck 81, Squad 3, Medic 61, and Battalion 25. The show’s starring, co-starring, and guest starring roles are being cast out of New York, with additional principal actor casting in Chicago where shooting will take place. All of the stand-ins and extras will be hired in the Chicago area. The show begins production in July, 2012.
