Disney Channel casting directors are now auditioning teens to star in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie “Descendents”. The telepic is a live-action adventure-comedy that features the kids of Disney’s classic fairytale characters including Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Mulan, Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, Evil Queen, Jafar, Beast and Bella. The auditions are taking place in Los Angeles, and shooting will get underway in Spring, 2015. “Descendents” will premiere on Disney Channel in 2015.

Imagine Entertainment and Teakwood Lane Productions are currently in pre-production on the new 20th Century Fox TV series “24: Live Another Day”, which is a 12-episode run based on the mega-hit Fox network and worldwide syndicated political spy action thriller series “24” which spanned 192 episodes over eight seasons, and pulled in countless awards including 68 Emmy nominations, with 20 wins. It’s a Laugh Productions and Horizon Productions are getting ready to begin production on a new comedy sitcom for Disney XD called “Kirby Buckets”. The Casting Society of America Artios Award nominated casting team of Sally Stiner and Barbie Block, who have cast such Disney Channel hit shows as “Jonas” and “Good Luck Charlie”, are casting young teen actors and adults for series regulars, co-stars, and smaller day player roles. The extras will be hired throughout shooting on the pilot episode, with there likely being a need for many over-18 to play high school age.

On March 28, 2013 Disney Channel announced that the live-action comedy series “Jessie” was renewed for a third season. The series uses a multi-camera setup which is known as “filmized”, a technique in which video is made to appear to have been shot on film. “Jessie” is videotaped at Hollywood Center Studios in Los Angeles, CA.

The show, which will premiere sometime in 2014, is a continuation of where “Boy Meets World” left off but jumps ahead to present day. Casting for recurring roles, guest starring roles, and day players for “Girl Meets World” will get underway soon. The extras and stand-ins will be hired throughout production on season one.
